Peer Review Process

Rigorous double-blind peer review for quality research

Peer Review Process

Peer Review Commitment & Ethics Policy: IJIRMET is committed to maintaining high standards of scientific integrity, originality, and publication ethics through a rigorous, transparent, and fair double-blind peer review system.

All submitted manuscripts undergo automated similarity indexing & plagiarism screening (Turnitin / iThenticate). Articles exhibiting high similarity index (>15%) or unoriginal content are rejected at the preliminary desk stage.

1

Submission Intake & Preliminary Desk Evaluation

Upon receiving a manuscript via email (info@ijirmet.com), the Managing Editor conducts an initial preliminary desk check to ensure:

  • Adherence to IJIRMET manuscript template guidelines (single column MS Word format, max 8 pages).
  • Inclusion of Abstract (100–150 words), 5–7 keywords, clear methodology, and IEEE citation style.
  • Plagiarism screening and ethical compliance. Manuscripts meeting basic technical criteria proceed to formal reviewer assignment.
2

Double-Blind Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts passing preliminary checks are assigned to two independent external reviewers selected by the Editorial Board based on domain specialization. The review operates under a strict Double-Blind Review Protocol: the identity of authors is concealed from reviewers, and the identity of reviewers is concealed from authors. At least one assigned expert is an international reviewer. If reviewer reports conflict, a third senior reviewer is appointed.

3

Evaluation Criteria & Decision Rubric

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on five key dimensions: Originality, Scientific Methodology, Technical Depth & Empirical Findings, Clarity of Presentation, and Literature Relevance.

Review Decision Options:

Accept without Revision Minor Revision Required Major Revision Required Reject
4

Editorial Synthesis & Turnaround

Reviewers are requested to submit comprehensive evaluation reports within 10 days of accepting assignment. The Editor-in-Chief synthesizes all reviewer reports to issue the final decision letter along with constructive referee comments to the author. A minimum of one positive review report is mandatory for recommending acceptance.

5

Author Revisions & Resubmission Protocol

If revisions are required, authors must update their manuscript according to reviewer comments and provide a point-by-point response matrix. Revised manuscripts must be submitted within 7 days (or specified editorial deadline). Revisions submitted after 30 days are automatically archived and treated as fresh submissions, re-entering Step 1.

6

Final Acceptance, Copyediting & Publication

Upon final approval, authors receive an official Acceptance Letter and Publication Fee invoice. Authors submit the completed Copyright Form, camera-ready final manuscript, and proof of payment. The article undergoes final proofreading, formatting, DOI registration, and fast-track publication in the current monthly online issue.
